Hi guys, I recently completed an Emperor's Royal Guard costume for my wife so I thought I'd share some pics of it here. For the outer robe I decided to go with the double slit ROTS look instead of the sling over one shoulder ROTJ look. It's just more maneuverable! The force pike is a modified golf ball retriever. I cut the basket off, put in a pen top as the tip, glued some studs and finally glued a sink knob to the bottom of the handle. Hope you guys like!

A pen! That's very creative - I've never seen anyone do that. Nice pics!

Oh, yes. Easily. You'll need to contact your local GML (Garrison Membership Liaison) for confirmation, but I wouldn't see any problem with that here.
It's very nice.

Where are you guys finding the sink knobs for your force pikes? I am having a hell of a time.
Kalkamel I have the same golf ball retriever, and am going to start my build. Do you think you could go into a little detail on how you did yours? And maybe give a close up shot of the top?

You should be able to find them at Ace hardware, Lowe's, and Home Depot. Also, if you've got a walmart around, hit up the plumbing & fishing departments... you'll find everything you need >

I have the same golf ball retriever. It was from wallmart, but even from homedepot, and ace I can't find that sink handle, or a pen that will fit on the end like his. I was hopeing he still checked the board to give me the part numbers, or brand names. Oh well, more hunting.

Sorry for my long absence... I've been busy completing my Vader for the 501st. Anyway, unfated, the sink knob is a very generic one you can find at the bathromom supplies department. The one I bought came with the tap even! I just removed the knob and attached it to the end of the retriever's handle. I'm not sure about the brand though... I know its a local Malaysian brand so I don't think you'd be able to find it in the States. If you want accuracy, try to look for an Armitage Shanks handwheel. You can try ebay. I think Romans Empire also sells a replica. The AS handwheel is what was used in the movie. As for the pen, its also a generic clicker pen that I picked up at a hotel I stayed. I just unscrewed the top and pasted it onto the top of the retriever which I sawed off. Hope that helps.

If you've got pics of the Vader, post 'em in the 'other costumes' forum. We'd love to see them.
I didn't know about the AS knob. I might be able to find it locally here in Florida.

Here's a pic of the AS handwheel: This is the same sink knob that was used for the Obi ANH and Luke ROTJ sabers. Just try looking for something that can pass as that at the local hardware store and you're good to go.
