Been thinking about building a VACU-FORM table for a while now for various projects. i've ben researching alot of different versions and have come up with a table design that will suit my needs so i'm going to begin construction next week. the first project on my list will be a CE style chestarmor. i have a basic pattern down so it should'nt be that difficult. anyway, here's a rough diagram of what i have in mind below. i plan to built the mold from wood or mdf so it will last and i could get a ton of pulls from it. the top of the chestpiece would be only about a 1/4" thick and grow to the bottom about 1 1/2". that way it would'nt interfere with the helmet. All of the edges and corners would be rounded off and sanded smooth. The diagram is just for a basic wood pattern. All of this is just in the planning stages right now but it's definatly going to happen once i get the table built. if there is any interest after i get mine done, i will make more for board members as well. Very excited about this project!!!

excelent template and research! I look forward to seeing progress pics. The shoulderpads are an interesting challenge, I've learned, when trying to wear a helmet over them. Had a friend completely cut off the sides of his helmet so he could fit it with red- stormtrooper armour. (didn't work all that well, imo)

I think they'd have to be shaped a bit differently then red trooper armor. The external shape is different, of course, but at the top it might have to be a little shallower. I wish I could show a picture 'cuz I think I explained it like a monkey.
