velvet arrived today! talk about fast shipping!!! anyway, it's very light but looks really nice. i tried to get pics but my darn digi isnt picking it up too well so.... but i would recomend it for a cost effective robe material. i'm going to use it check out thier website as well. they have alot of good deals on fabrics: syfabrics.com/

here's a pic of my outer robe. my camera just does not want to pick up the colors right but you can get an idea of the flow of the fabric. i'll try to get better pics of it soon. my camera really sucks butt! oh...the colors of the helm and robe seem off in the pic but are actually much closer in person. the fabric really throws light in a wierd way i guess. still a WIP but just wanted to give an idea of what i'm shooting for....

I have everything I need to make my cloak. I even purchased 2 different types of material. My dilemma is wheather I make it so the material droops under the helmet or make it so the material hangs straight down off the shoulders. I have seen both styles in the Star Wars Visual Dictionaries. The material I like the best does not droop so I am still trying to decide which way to go.
